“Promoting gender equality in Armenian society” is a 10 months project aimed at raising awareness on gender issues with a specific emphasis on women’s rights promotion.

The project purpose is to set a platform for different stakeholders as policy makers, experts, youth, representatives of civil society and international organizations to discuss the issues in the field, find out their reasons and consequences on general public. The project will produce 10 discussions and 6 debates on such topics as reproductive rights, domestic violence, women subjected to intersectional discrimination, socio-economic and political involvement of women, non-discrimination and equality in Armenia as general.

The project is implemented in Yerevan, Armenia with 3 planned visits to the regions of Armenia. However, each of the discussions and events will include at least 40% of participants from the regions that will ensure multiplication of the project outcomes beyond Yerevan.
