Maria Abrahamyan
Maria Abrahamyan is a human rights projects responsible in the #Article3 club.
Ms. Abrahamyan has been working in the human rights sphere since 2010. Starting her career from coordination of projects in socio-economic rights, Maria moved to civil rights sphere more concentrating on anti-discrimination, violence prevention and educational projects.
Along with the coordination of several researches and education materials preparation in antidiscrimination sphere, her research and core recommendations contributed to the civil society report on implementation of the CEDAW in Armenia, appeared in the Concluding observations of the UN CEDAW Committee in 2016, that de facto, formulates gender and women’s rights policy of
Armenia for upcoming 5 years. She also prepared the “Legalizing the stereotypes: women victims’ access to justice and gender stereotyping in the framework of gender based violence judicial proceedings” study .
Anush Ghazaryan
Ms. Anush Ghazaryan is working at “For Equal Rights” NGO as a Project Assistant for a project entitled “Promoting Gender Equality in Armenia.” Previously, she has worked as a Research analyst at Regional Studies Center and project coordinator/communication specialist at Civic Forum NGO.
She has an MA degree from Yerevan State University “Center for European Studies” and BA degree from European Regional Educational Academy from the faculty of International Relations.
Ms. Ghazaryan has taken part in series of international youth projects, as training courses on human rights, gender, conflict management and intercultural dialogue.
Zaruhi Hovhannisyan
Zaruhi Hovhannisyan is working at “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO as a moderator for discussions in the frameworks of a project entitled “Promoting Gender Equality in Armenia.” Previously she worked as a TV show host at AR TV and host of the news program at Shant TV and Yerkir Media. Recently, she has mostly been working as a human rights defender specializing in women rights and people in penitentiary institutions. She is working at “Coalition to Stop Violence against Women” and is serving as a member of Group of Public Monitors Implementing Supervision over the Criminal-Executive Institutions and Bodies of the Ministry of Justice of RA.
